Lets talk guys because I need to talk to you. I need to hear from you. I need to know the truth. Do I suck now?
My grades in poetry have dropped, my poems don't do as well here as they used to before (by a big margin), so I've kept it inside for a few weeks but I have to just ask- because you guys have always been honest with me (I think). Am I just no good now?
You used to like me because I was raw and honest. I grew up and began to develop my techniques, began to understand concrete imagery better so now I'm less direct... is that the problem ? Am I indirect to the point where you dont know what Im trying to say in the poems any more?
Talk to me. If I've gone too far from my roots I guess I need to know so I can start over.

Poetry competition (Ends this week)
Hi guys! I am running another poetry competition (off DA) and thought I'd tell you about it. It has cash prizes (paid via Paypal or similar online bank transfer options) and has some free entry options if you are eligible! It closes in a few days, so if you have a poem that fits the theme (Embers, Ignite) then go ahead and enter, or get writing! So we decided that we would make that our first competition’s theme, to help you get to know us as much as we get to know you through your entries! I always feel like the poems that I think are my best works have very Underwhelming comments and favorites compared with others that have more faves but I'm less proud of. I'm not sure if that relates at all to what you are seeing but I thought I'd throw it out there.
I however have been rather delinquent in keeping up with DA and other people's submissions so I can't exactly be helpful! sorry!
