The pain can be constant and intense. It can wake you up at night or stop you from sleeping. It can stop you eating, leaving your house. It can stop you going to school, going to work, going to your boyfriends house.
It can affect the clothes you wear, the make up you use, the people you talk to. It can affect the music you listen to, the way you laugh, the feeling you get when you wake up in the morning.
It can kill, it can pass suddenly and never return, it can paralyse you in your own body and be permenant, or be treatable very easily.
It can differ from person to person, and it could affect you or anyone you know.
It's called depression. It and its many friends (find out about them here) are very real and affecting many people. Remember, pain isn't always caused by physiology.
